Dear Parents and Friends

“How very good God is to us all.”
Saint Mary MacKillop
2 August 1870

Next week we celebrate the Mary MacKillop Mass with our school and parish community. Mary brought the message of human dignity to all whom she encountered. “Never see a need without doing something about it.”
At this time we remember and reflect on the life of Mary MacKillop.

“Whatever troubles may be before you, accept them cheerfully, remembering whom you are trying to follow. Do not be afraid. Love one another, bear with one another, and let charity guide you in all your life.”

This week saw our first groups of performers at the Wellington Eisteddfod in the Speech and Drama section. Congratulations to our Little Saints and our Stage 2 students for your entertaining recitals.

Thank you to parents who supported student learning by attending the Secondary Parent/Teacher interviews on Wednesday night. Parents who value their child’s education send a clear message to them about the importance of setting a firm foundation for life with the opportunities that education provides.

Congratulations to our students who have represented St Mary’s at the Western Region athletics carnival, Quinn Cup, representative touch football and at the Soccer Gala day. We are extremely proud of the positive way that you represented our school and of your achievements. Thanks also to teachers and parents who have assisted students at these events. Your investment of time and support of our students is appreciated.

Congratulations to former students Hunta Wilson and Will Smith, our 2012 Primary Captains, who have been elected Prefects of Kinross Wolaroi for their final year.

Mrs Leanne Clarke. Acting Principal.
